OSCE Preparation

The second part of NMC registration for qualified overseas nurses is known as OSCE (Objective standard Clinical Examination). Part two (OSCE) of the Test of Competence is a practical exam and its role is to measure the candidates against the current UK pre-registration standards.

The OSCE tests international Nurses on their communication and clinical skills, as well as decision-making and handling difficult situations. 

•  Four of the stations will be scenario based and relate to:

1. assessment- holistic patient centred,
2. Planning,
3. Implementation,
4. Evaluation.

• Four Stations to test practical clinical skills (two pairs of two skills)
• Two stations to assess the candidate’s value and behaviours and evidence-based practice.

At Atlas LES we offer OSCE preparation courses for all nurses seeking help to pass their NMC Competence test with more confidence and assurance to have covered all sectors/stages of the test. Our goal is to assist overseas qualified nurses to gain employment within UK hospitals (both NHS and private healthcare).

All of our OSCE trainers are experienced, registered nurses with vast experiences in all stages of nursing and midwifery care.

We simulate a clinical environment, presenting you with scenarios that you will likely encounter as a Registered Nurse. At the end of the course, you will be invited to sit a mock examination that is assessed.
